J. L. Evans Building

History of the Building:

This 1889 corner building has housed the oldest, longest-running business in Hamilton County.  At this location, there has always been an operating tavern.  J. L. Evans, a businessman and congressman, contributed greatly to the development of downtown Noblesville as evidenced by this building and the Craycraft/Evans block to the east.
