Citizens State Bank Building

Location: 901 Conner Street

Date Built: 1871

History of the Building:

Built in 1871, this prominent corner building is one of the earliest representative examples of the Italianate style's adaptation to a commercial building.  Although this building has undergone the usual modernization of its ground floor storefronts, the upper story retains its pedimented window surrounds and bracketed cornices.
