Main Street's Four-Point Approach

Noblesville Main Street, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit organization working to promote and develop historic downtown Noblesville, Indiana. We do this through the use of the "four-point approach" developed by the National Main Street Program.

Economic Development

Working to strengthen and expand Downtown Noblesville's economic base. Efforts include providing technical assistance to existing downtown businesses and recruiting new businesses.

Design

Working to enhance the visual quality of downtown. Attention is given to building restorations, public improvements, alley facades, signs, landscaping, and window displays.

Promotion

Working to establish downtown Noblesville as an inviting place for people to live, work, shop, and visit. Image-building techniques are used, including: shopping and dining guides, newsletters, special events, and cooperative advertising.

Organization

Working to create and fund a permanent Main Street development organization with an active and highly visible Main Street core of staff and volunteers. Wide-spread community support and involvement are needed to ensure success.

A vital downtown is a symbol of the community's economic health, quality of life, and community history.

A vital downtown benefits not only those who live and work there, but the entire community.
